2024 Spring Green St. Patty’s Day Trap Shoot
The rain stopped almost exactly at 10 a.m. With Scott, Colleen and their crew in the kitchen, we ate well waiting for the rain to magically stop as f it knew our 10 a.m. rules. We had 13shooters including one youth. The winners of the gift cards were:
Tim Hill
Ed Blandin
Mannie Bethony
Dan Zvirski
High scores for the day were:
Tim Hill 23,22,20
Mannie Bethony 20
Walter Potaznick 21,20
Reece (Mannie’s grandson) 20
Greg Wells 20
Tom Costello 20
We switched it up to shoot at green birds as the standard with the orange birds becoming the prize bird.
Today was not without its drama. In the classic Grandpa/grandson epic Mannie and Reece tied in their first qualifying round. Reece beat him by one clay to move on to the finals. Mannie later qualified and then took out his grandson with a tie breaking (20-20) longest string to win the gift card
Walter and Tim were neck and neck throughout the final round, tied going into the last station. Walter’s 4/5 lost to Tim’s 5/5. If perfect, Walter had the longest string to break the tie (14/11) if he could have tied the score
The next shoot is the May 5 2024, “May Day Handicap Shoot” details to follow.
